WHAT IS THIS? Little box/sensor

Can someone please tell me what this thing is.  Ive never seen it before.  It had been hangin against the swingarm, it took tearing everything down for a tappet clearance check.

It has two wires that connect to a plug, and gets rolled into the wires in front of the computer, but not connected.  Its on the right side next to the battery.  I found something in the manual that says it is a HF sensor, but it was just a drawing.

DOES IT RATTLE and what is it?  It rattles like it has a couple of screws inside, two wires out of the back, and says 109 on the metal plate.  Even if you can tell me if its suppose to rattle is enough.

Tip over sensor, mounts to the bottom of the tank mount!
Must be plugged in behind the brake res!

+3.........and YES, it does make a sound(rattle) there's like a ball inside that moves on a magnet(switch). ie...bike upside down, switch inside moves to kill ignition.
