They should be protected from the high pressure that's just over us now. It's supposed to shift to the East causting it to hit us...but you never know.geez, what if....

I don't think the tectonic plates are too much a factor in hurricanes.It's been a bad few years for hurricanes. Wonder what tectonic plate shift is happening to cause all this?
If that were the case, I think Cali would be the record holder for hurricanes.
Out here, we usually have anywhere from 3-4 form around us. We call them typhoons, though. So far, we've been pretty lucky. The last big storm to hit us was Typhoon Pongsona in 2002. Winds were 100+ if I remember correctly.
and good luck, Toyz. Remember to leave a little crack in one of the windows. That should help relieve some of the pressure in the house and prevent windows from getting blown out.
