I began feeling a slight grind like a faint shudder when coming to a stop on my 09 and couldn't figure out what it was. Yesterday I noticed a very shallow groove in my right front rotor so I pulled the pads and there was a dark line in the pad material in line with the groove. I gently abraded the line with a scribe and a little bit of darker material came off of the pad leaving behind some small pitts and clean brake pad material. Once I reassembled the brakes, the shudder was gone. I think I got a small pebble imbedded in the brake pad and that's what caused the problem. Anyone else seen anything like this before?
