To use the O2 or to not use the O2???

I read that the ecu of K8 model is working very good with the O2 sensor,so i don't need to use custom mapping and i must use the sensor.If i use a custom map i will have a litle power gain so it doesn't worth it.

I want to ask if someone knows that all ecus for bikes after 2007(i think only for Europe,EURO3 rules)working into the emmisions levels,so if the bike needs at that moment are over the emmisions limits the ecu "stops" and we are not take the maximum power.So for maximun power we don't need the 02 sensor and we need custom mapping.

What do yoy know about that,it's true??
 
Honestly, you need to bide your time in the hope that somebody cracks the ECU soon.

It'll probably happen, WHEN it happens is the issue.

Once the ECU is cracked, there will be no need for band aids like Power Commanders and such. The ECU will get reflashed (preferably on a dyno), and life will be good.
