Timing Retard Eliminator or ECU editor opinions gen2

Wanted to know if anyone had used a timing retard eliminator on their gen2. I have read some things but wanted some opinions.

#1 It looks like it's just plug n play is that correct?

#2 I have seen people mention that it may give a little more power in the lower gears? True? False?

#3 my gear indicator will show 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5 correct?

#4 Can they be set to a toggle switch to be turned on/off?

#5 Any brand recommended?

I see them on Ebay from 70-150.00..

or.... comments on the ECU editor

Comments from people who have done this and can share some insight thanked in advance. And yes, I searched, read other posts but wanted to start a new thread anyways :hide:

Oh and by the way just go with the ECU editor. Save your time and money. Unless you hate money that is.

Opening the CAN OF WORMS. Go with ECU ed, it wasn,t around when I got my 08 . I have the XTRE on mine, and have 0 trouble with it. I had mine put on with pipes and pc3 and dynoed all at the same time. Good idle, mpg, power. Not all have these results , but if you must go tre, I recommend the XTRE , it does cost the most, maybe thats why it worked.

It won't work.

We've been trying to get rid of Vabs for quite some time. Save your money.

I have ecu editor.
I've removed retsrictions on 11 gen2's, and 8 are members here.
I do them free, just send a paid return shipping label.
Not a scam, and I have no use for your ecu.
Just an offer to you, and again to all.:beerchug:

Either way, No TRE. Do it right with Ecu Editor.

Well so far no real posts?
I had it on mine. It killed my mpgs, 25mpg.
I had bike dynoed with it on originally. Then unit went bad and I removed it. HP was exactly the same without it. It had added zero Hp to the bike. After taking it off I now still make same power 187hp but get 42mpgs. I have threads here to support this.

Pass on it.

Didn't you get 3 more whp on the next dyno tune with the restrictions removed in ecu editor?
