Actually I used this stuff on my GSXR1100 during break in, I was unsure at first but tried it anyways. It may be pure chance but at my service intervals for cam shimming I only used one shim, the mechanic said that was much lower than his previous experience.
Take it for what it is worth.

Generally, I understood it to be a bad idea to use any friction reducers during breakin because you want metal wear so things like rings can seat.
