Teething problems?

Seems like the startermotor/idlergear problems can also happen to a stock Busa?

German Motorrad mag's longtermer Busa got grounded again, this time due to failing teeth on the starter motor itself and the idler gear as well (don't know which of the two, the pic shows the one mounted on the crank's end but I can't see anything wrong with that).

Their longtermer's camchain tensioner failed at around 15000 miles, destroying enough in the cylinderhead to have the entire head replaced under warranty.
Then at around 18000 miles they had the clutch inner/outer cam replaced under warranty (the power-clutch feature or servo as they called it) after they experienced serious clutch problems.
Now at around 21000 miles their Busa couldn't be started anymore because of these missing teeth and again everything involved was replaced under warranty.

What's next?

Never thought I'd say this but I'm beginning to be glad that nothing has shown-up yet that requires an engine rebuilt!
