stock shift light to pingle shifter?

going with a pingel electric shifter. Does anyone know if its ok and accurate to use signal from stock shift light to activate my upshifts? or is there a better module that would work like a rpm activation switch?

I already have a pcv with quick shift pressure switch so not even installing pingel kill
