me & my mate don baird we had stock height & wheelbase challenge , both bikes r stock motor with slip ons &
prepped clutch, we ran 3 9sec passes side by side. videos up soon .the 9.851 missed 4th gear.

Cool ! I have to ask... what happened to that additional torque and HP on the Gen 2? I thought Gen 2s were a bit faster with the extra power built into them ?

Did you guys switch bikes and give it a shot to see if one of you was faster than the other ?

As you can see I am a Gen 1 type of guy because the style revision in 08 didn't really do much for me.

there is about 55-60 lb diff in rider weight we got some nice footage with cam facing the other lane , put it up soon .
it was close furthest away was about 6 ft got closer , about 1 ft ,next pass was couple of inches in it, it was great racing.

Same rider on both bikes it wouldn't/shouldn't even be close,at least 25+ hp and 2-3 tenths for a Gen II over a Gen I(get used to the tail revision on the Gen II old man,that's all you're gonna be seeing ).I'll let you ride mine the next time we get out and you can see what a 198 rwhp Gen II compared to around 160 for a piped Gen I feels like(I'm off the rest of the week if you want to ride[early,too damned hot after 10:00AM] Sat. or Sun. morning,was gone the other day when Bev said you'd called).Had mine tuned in Huntington Beach a few weeks ago and picked up an extra 10 hp,was running pretty rich when I took it in.

hi mate u r rite about the diff in hp,gen 1 used 170 hp to mph & the gen 1 152 hp there is 18 hp diff .
the gen 1 has done 1.68 60 ft 4.31 330, u dont get to see any taillights with that 330, so with the slip above.
it has potential of 9.7s . as 6 the gen i had 3 passes on it .118 mph in the 1/8 9.899 1/4. this one we going 4 9.5s .

I know you run some fast times over there bro and those are great for just slip-ons.I always like to give ZRXMAX(a good friend and ridin' buddy)a hard time about his Gen 1 'cause he always wants to do roll ons with me(he's a stubborn old dude).

we r both running stock gearing got a few vids facing the gen 2 in opposite lane there was nothing in the gear changes. real close racing.
the gen 1 sill got the air box flapper hooked up & working maybe thats why its so fast lol.

suppose to be stock lol lowered strapped no undertail u can see how stock it isnt ,last week i was 1/1oo behind on sunday i got him by 2/100, on this. rolling of the throttle for the gear shifts.my bike looked like that i be running 9.20s.

Where did you get that info?

The trans ratios are actually the same for both Gen's just the sprockets are different. Gen-2 is geared a little shorter but wheelbase is also shorter because of it so wheelies are worse...
