Angeles Crest is good for something besides its sweepers.
When it snows up there, I like to drive up to where they've stopped plowing the road, and ski Angeles Crest on cross country skis.

When it rains in Pasadena, we ski!!!

We stayed at Spearfish, SD on vacation in 04 and loved it. I bet the canyon is pretty now, but you would be hard pressed to get there. Nice pictures, but I think I will try to retire somewhere warmer.
