Scar & Warchild Converging on Reno

Scar, I would suggest checking out the Nugget in Sparks also. I will be there the same weekend on a Corvette event at the Nugget. The staff there is great to work with and the room rates for group events are quite good. If interested I can put you in touch with the person who organizes the event. He lives in Auburn and has been doing these runs for several years. Usually two or three a year. Last year the Yamaha Star group was there at the same time we were. They all had a good time from the ones I talked with. Lots of Yamahas attended. Just a thought. :beerchug: Bob

War and Scar, count me in...I also lived in Lake Tahoe for 6 years and am willing to help with routes and etc. am also willing to help with any details you would like to deligate to me..Highly recommend the group go up to Virginia City...they have a great bar there called the "Bucket of Blood"...another great place you might consider is Gardnerville which is on 395 within 30 minutes of Reno (south)...they have a prime rib dinner with old boxing membrobilia (spelling?) in an old time casino. There are great riding routes and many passes to ride...I am sure Pashnit could assist since it is his thing...but let me know if there is help needed...I live about 2 hours west of Sacramento...am excited to hear about this gathering...2hip

Fantastic! Sounds like you'll be a wealth of information for the planning and execution. Your offer is greatly appreciated; we'll be in touch for sure.

Bob: Thanks for your thoughts and insight. Much obliged. When War and I get together, we're going to make a list of assets available to us and if you don't mind, I'd like to add you to the list of others. Do you mind?

Let me know; and thanks again!!!

Sure. Glad to help any way I can. :cheerleader:

Scar, I don't know what to say! (actually I always have something to say) I live here, I know all the roads, we can put together some incredible loops that all will love, and count me in for any pre event running around you may need. Also, many of my NorCal riding buddies can help with their input on roads, etc. (ozz, vmax 2 busa, bosshound, kento moto, cc busa, and many more!). I look forward to connecting with you guys....pm me anytime. Doyle (raydog)

T (-) four days and counting.

My flight gets in to Reno at 9:35A, Friday.

Hey...I have to work Thursday. (Which, in itself, is bad enough, though no different than any other non-Holiday Thursday, I suppose.) Hmmm...digressed.

Anyway, I have to be home by Saturday afternoon to attend celebrations and rides scheduled on/around and in honor of my birthday. Which is Sunday 05OCT, by the way...

Check out the Atlantis while you are the there, it's just down the street from the "Mill"

Will do...I made a note of it when you threw the idea out there previously. Is there something significantly different/better about it that you recommend it so?

RSVP.

The Peppermill is very nice and they spent Gazzillons$$$$$$$ in upgrades and expanding the casino/hotel, the Atlantis is finishing up on a remodel themselves. I like the Mill, but I can get much better deals at Atlantis.

They both have good parking and are away from the downtown area which would be much safer as for any theft issues.

Just think that we should look at 2 or 3 places to get the best overall deals for the group

FYI: Busa security.......
One of you Reno dudes correct me if I'm wrong, but the Peppermill has a muti level overhead parking garage as well as outside parking whereas the Atlantis has outside only (haven't been in the Atlantis in years so I'm not really sure). But both parking facilities are well secured with cameras and 24 hour roving security patrol.

The Peppermill does have a multi level garage, but both hotels would let us park near the entrance/valet area...which would be the ONLY place that "I" feel that we should park.
