Decided to drive up North to explore a bit. First stop was St. Augustine to check out the NIGHT OF LIGHTS display. I went a few years ago and this year took the Ripley's Believe It or Not tram. It was alright, nothing too special. A lot of beautiful displays around the country I'm sure of that!

Next stop was the Ripley's Odditorium museum. I have been to the one in Gatlinburg TN so figured this one would be interesting to check out as well.

Next stop was checking out the Lighthouse. Ticket's were like $14 or so to get in this historical location just South of St. Augustine.

I really wanted to take a drive on the beach since I never had the chance. I stopped by a beach in St. Augustine only to see it was closed to traffic.

I headed south a few miles until I finally found a good location for these shots...

I realized we would be passing by right next to Daytona International Speedway so I had to make a pitstop! I set the GPS for its location and arrival time was 3:09 and the last tour of the day was scheduled for 3:30 so I made it right on time! Tickets were $18 per person.

Awesome man! What a cool road trip. Some nice cars there.
I just looked at the ticket prices to a Nascar event there . . . wow!
$104 per seat!
Yeah definitely not cheap. May be a big race or something. We have Homestead Motor Speedway down here if you ever want to see some free races. Sign up for the FARA email list and they usually send free tickets every couple of months.

It was a long time ago. But yes. A big Ford van with better Springs and big tires to take the speeds needed to not fall down the banking. :)
Not fair! See they showed us the banking but didn't actually let us ride on that. I believe it is a 31 degree incline, thats pretty serious!

Judging by the gorgeous pictures you have shown us............you've been places.....

You can probably go for a ride right now too....

Well I could but it was below freezing last night and today’s high will be a whopping 43. Supposed to be in the 50s on the 1st and 2nd and around 50+ on the 3rd. Inside my house is (so) warm...

It was nowhere near that warm here today.....-20'C was the high and it was cold with the wind...At least I got into the garage and visited the bike(s).

4 below zero fahrenheit? Dayum, that is cold. I did ‘visit’ the bikes today, fired them up just to hear them roar. Installed the V1 wiring on the new Z. It has a built in power outlet under the seat which is damned convenient. Ran the wire under the left side cover, inside the left frame rail just under the tank and out in front of the bars up to the mount. Works great and is off when the key is off.
