Rear Sprocket

Duc

I hope you got your money back on that one!

Was it on your bike when you tossed your chain?

Saw a pics of your DB, looks good, pin strips go well with it. You like?

Maui,
The out of round sprocket is still on the bike. Guess they dont indicate them in when they do the hole pattern. When i get a new Afram i will send it back. Note: SprocketSpecialists is no longer selling parts (Chains or gears for Hayabusas). I take partial credit for this. If you need any thing from them tell them its for a GSXR 1100, or they wont sell it to you. Time to look for another company.

PS Look for your pic from LA on our new web site, to be up in a few days - labusas.com
Still lots of details to get it up.

Oh **** , guess I better quit running SS/Vortex and 520 chains on my busa (like I have for the past 4 months).

I do zero (o) drag racing, I replace my sprockets and chain once per year every year. I have never had any problems with a bike "eating" alum. sprockets.

IF ANYBODY WANTS TO CHANGE GEARING OR CHAIN WITH THE AFTERMARKET BE SURE TO ORDER FOR 96-97 GSXR750 OR TL1000,BOTH CARRY 530 CHAINS AND SPROCKET'S.I HAVE A SPROCKET SPECIALTIES ALUMINUM 43T ON AND NO PROBLEMS.

Duc-

I wonder if that gear is the root of your chain problems. Being "out" like that with the load, unload thing?

I have been running an aluminum vortex 42 tooth rear sprocket on mine for the last 6 months and it looks brand new. Only adjusted chain once and drive train is quite. I think the aluminum rear works just fine. By the way, the part number for this sprocket was the same as the gsxr750. You also use a 112 link chain for this conversition.

The rear sprocket i recieved from SS was not concentric and had a tight point. Turbo Rick uses Afram. This is a good brand to try first. Anyone try Vortex??
Dont run an aluminum sprocket as the bussa's will tear thim up.

maui,
I know its not helping -I did adjust it so the "tight point had some slack". Chicken sh-t as this cop out sounds, i have not done any rolling full power passes like the ones that drop the chains on my new Tasubaki Sigma from Schnitz Racing. On the aluminun sprockets -"Smoke em if you got em"
