Is a aftermarket steel sprocket lighter in weight than the stock sprocket of same size?

ehh...not too sure on this one, mang. I think some of the aftermarket sprockets are lighter, but don't hold me to that.

thanks pac i want to stay with the 16 40 just didnt know if changing to a vortex sprocket would loose any weight
most aftermarket sprokets i've seen are advertised as lightr-but many of these are aluminum, not steel, so strength can be an issue with the power of a busa...try to find sprokets from titanium-stronger than steel, lighter, n thus less rotating mass=better acceleration, even w/same # of teeth. can't remembr name of company i saw that makes TI sprokets-check mod threads/racing forums?
