RE-INSTALLING MUZZY EXHAUST

I'm going to be re-installing my exhaust system (MUZZY)and I'm curious if you have to use some type of liquid seal or gasket at the headers upon re-installing your exhaust?

You may want to pick up new exhaust gaskets.

I just reinstalled mine after having the engine out and put in new gaskets.


PM vman1300, he'll hook you up with a good deal on the OEM gaskets.

I agree, the gaskets are cheep, and might as well swap them while it's off the bike.

Hey,when reinstalling the gaskets which side goes in first? The side with the two small notches or the opposite side?

The exhaust gasket is what I am referring to. It has a side that has two notches. Just want to know which way does it face when installing?

I don't think it matters. I think the two 'tabs' are just there to 'hold' the gasket in place while you install the headers. Otherwise, they would fall out.

I used new ones and still used some hondabond as well. It seems to have sealed up nicely. I also use the Hondabond on all the joints as well.
