Quoted $19,608 for 2026 Hayabusa

Well, the 2018 Gsxr1000R that I ride will eat just about any Busa's or zx14's lunch...and all the other 1000's too, unless they have a turbo or sc(seen it and done it...and I'm not a straight line guy either).
There's a good reason why they havn't updated it in so long, as it's still that good.
At now around 200whp and under 420lbs fueled...I already have cutting.edge performance.
I rode the TLR's back in the last century, lol, and have always loved them, but they are like my Goldwing, in that as much as I love them, I couldn't have them as my only bike.
But, at this point in life, I'm now blessed that I can afford multiple bikes.
The only things that really do catch my eye are the old Ninjas, zx7, zx9, zx11, and the zx12...the only one I never got to ride. And there's a few Gsxr's, CBR's, and the odd Yamaha I still like too.
I think I've ridden almost every Japanese sportbike from the early 90's until around 2010 or so, and a handful after(with a few BMW's, that never interested me, even though I rode a friends '23 1000RR, impressive, but too refined...I like my Suzukis that sound like they're about to fly apart, lmao)
I'm finally old enough, and have seen the world change enough, to truly undrestand nostalgia.
I've been riding for over 36 years now, and over 30 on sportbikes.
I've gotten to ride and experience alot of changes and advancements, and sadly, I think that we are coming to the end of the road.
Emissions and big brother isn't going to allow much more, if any...and the market is no longer there anymore anyway.
I've been over 180mph hundreds of times, for miles at a time, and in tight groups of up to eight bikes, which was an incredible thrill.
I did 197 mph gps'd on my Gen2, wheelied at around 151-153 mph, cruised stand-ups for miles at 110-120, and did my longest wheelie at almost 3 miles.
Drug my knees through the mountains with the local ametuer track guys a time or two, and enjoyed many a cat and mouss game with the fuzz...some of them instagated.
I did a handful of stunts with the crew many a time, and wore the title of hooligan with pride, lmao
Now, I am a washed up motorcycle rider, and proudly a has been.
I still enjoy lettin it rip once in a while, but I have become the proverbial shadow of my former self, and now, it's more of just a cruise, with a little burst of speed when the mood strikes...or is needed, lol
So cutting edge really no longer matters to me, and really it's just alot of nannies I can do without anyway.
I wish you well with your new bikes, and hope you turbo that zx14
Me...I'm going to ride off into the sunset on one of my dinosaurs...

Either your dealer got it from another dealer, or it was ordered from the docks.
There is a surplus in shipping containers in various harbors around the country that dealers can pull stock from, if it's available, and outside of what they intially bought for their dealership for the model year.

I bought a Yamaha Raptor 700 in 2020.
The Pa dealer had one available that they could order, and it was in a container in Washington state.
It took about 5 weeks for them to get to it...and I made the 6 1/2 drive there the next morning to pick it up!
They were impossible to get with covid, and I had called over 60 dealers in 7 or 8 states over several months looking for one, and no one could get any.
You never know what can be forgotten in a storage shipping container.

If that's the case, I just hope it's not a California bike. No offense to California riders but I don't want the extra equipment. Fine if it can be removed but if there's extra tubes in the fuel tank and stuff, I don't want that. I never even thought about that before ordering. I assumed it would be a 49 states bike since that's what's sold here.
