Quoted $19,608 for 2026 Hayabusa

Not sure if it's the angles of the pics I have seen of this bike, but I thought it was the same color blue all around. I just looked at a video of the 2025 EICMA and it was on display and there is a nice integration of a lighter blue on the tail and the tank. Not sure how I missed it before. Definitely a great looking bike!

So $20,138 is the guaranteed out the door cost, right?
That means no increases after the fact.
I’d get that in writing.

I’d accept the “non-refundable deposit” condition if they provide a firm delivery date.
Beyond that date the deposit can be refunded if you wish.

$20,138 is still a good price. This is the dream bike for many.

I think the 2026 busa is all one color of blue too. ...with the white, of course.

I will. I have the bill of sale, you think that's adequate?

I guess I better download that bill of sale ASAP. This is weird....the price quote file attached to the first message is gone from the email and so is the original message. I'm sure I didn't delete the email and even if I did, it should be in my trash. I had no idea you could edit email messages after they were sent. ...or am I crazy?

It's the light blue stripes on the tail and tank that I didn't notice. Hard to see if you aren't looking for it.

The person sending this to you could not edit it or delete it. Do you have multiple email clients, for example, the home computer which could download and delete the email and thus it would disappear from your phone? Or the message is within a thread that needs to be expanded first to see it? I am guessing at a possible scenarios.

Oh yes, now I see it. That's subtle, it looks like it could be some reflections of a lighter ceiling or something above. I had to go to the Suz webpage to view larger pics. LOL it's hard to tell the difference between the actual reflections on the bike and the lighter stripes. Good eye, BigBS.

The only other computer around here is my mom's and as far as I know, she doesn't know how to access my email. One way I avoid spending money right now is I use a TracPhone flip phone and I don't use the internet on it. I hardly ever use that phone at all even for talking.

No none of that message is collapsed. The date is November 11, it's a new email altogether. I responded to it today twice and the date remains that of the original message, Nov 11. If I accidentally trashed the first email, it would remain in the trash for 30 days unless I actually went to the trash, selected the message and deleted it forever. The date of this thread is the same day I got the quote email which now has disappeared and it's been no more than 20 days. Weird.

I wrote up an agreement specifying the exact model of motorcycle and identifying the seller and me, the buyer. The $2000 deposit is only refundable if the exact motorcycle isn't delivered by 10/31/26. That should be plenty of time. Also, the exact price listed on the bill of sale minus the $2000 deposit that I must make before they order the bike. As far as what mode of transportation the bike will be delivered by, he can't say for certain but it will be a crated bike. He will let me see it in the crate and I'll get pics for you guys.

The seller can copy my agreement straight out the window or if he wants, he can make whatever edits he chooses and I'll have a look at it.

Another concern I had was that the wrong bike could be delivered since there was a mostly white 2025 called Pearl Vigor Blue/Pearl white. The 2026 is the Special Edition and it's called Pearl Vigor Blue. ...could be confusing, the dealer had initially quoted the price based on the 2025 one, I'd hate for someone else to make a mistake and send the wrong bike. ...not that I'd mind a 2025 but I'm paying an extra $500 for the 2026 SE and that's the one that really caught my eye.

@Gen3lover I wanted to let there definitely be enough time to get the bike here before I gave up but I could have gone with July 31st. No reason I couldn't extend the delivery date if I wanted. Hopefully this guy will want the rest of his twenty thousand bad enough to not draw this out too long. One plus to waiting is that it will give me time to build my bank account up enough that I'm left with something after paying for the bike.

@CBXRider, he must know he won't or else he wouldn't agree to guaranty that I'll pay no additional fees. A tariff fee would be another $4000! I wouldn't pay that. He'd be stuck with the bike even if he could keep my $2000 deposit. We actually talked about it and he said no one else around here is going to buy that bike and it's actually very costly to transport a bike to another dealership. It would be a huge PITA for him if I walked on the sale.

That non refundable (no matter what) deposit? Good luck.
It'll be fine. It's just incase you decide to back out that they have something for getting the bike they're now stuck with. I had to put a $3000 deposit on my Gen2 and that bike was almost half the cost of this one. He signed the agreement I wrote. If it's not the right bike or if it takes over a year to get it, I get my 2000 back. He's not obligated to give it back for any other reason.

Keep us up to date on any developments.
You know I will!
