K, well I got the turbo set up all figured out. I have noticed lately that my chain is goes from tight to not tight, then back again. At first we thought maybe it was stretching the chain, or maybe the wheel was moving. After riding the bike at the drag strip this weekend, I notice that when I start from first gear the bike jumps until it starts moving. Then it smooths out & runs great. I came home to check the tension on the chain, I get the bike up on the center stand, then I check the chain, tight as hell, so I decide to spin the wheel, check it again, about 3/4 turned around & the chain is not tight at all, what's going on here? Transmission? Chain? Oh, I go have the medium grade springs in the clutch.

Chain has broken rollers, caused by snatching, common for turbo bikes with alot of street use and stiff clutches. Get with Daniel (GoldenChild) he has the last chain you'll buy!

Yep! Put it on a rear stand and do a visual of the chain while rotating the back wheel.

Really, the chain is a EK Drag Chain, something like 10,000 lbs stregnth? It's only about a year old. Could be bad?

No, the EK drag chains are non o-ring and need alot of attention for street use. Chains are not family heirlooms, just toss it and maybe try an o-ring or x-ring chain for the street.

Good luck!

Glad you finally got her down the track a few times, you've been working on it for a while, congrats. Are you going to post a timeslip or some numbers? Would like to know how she's running for you!

Going to check the chain & sprocket, hope that's the problem, not the output shaft!
