Power commander differences

Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between the 2000 and 2001 Power Commander III USB. On the website they are seperate part Nos:
1999-2000 is 304-411
2001 is 320-411

But what is the difference physically. I have a chance to get a cheap 2000 PC for my 2001 bike. Will it fit, or is it just the connector that is different.

i believe it goes sumpt'in like this...

'99/'00 Busa: utilized a 16bit processor in the ECU

'01 Busa: got the 32bit ECU processor upgrade but the 32bit ecu mapping software for both fuel/Ign, wasn't everything it could've been.

'02-'06 Busa: 32bit ECU processing w/ software programmimg map-ability in increments of of every 500rpm's in each and every one of 9 different throttle percentages.

if i'm not mistaken.

02-    32 bit
99-00 Busa's aren't restricted
01-  Busa's have the speed restriction

So, theoretically the '00 should fit my '01 if both are 16bit

They're both 16 bit, but they use different ECU's...it would be best to use the correct PC for your bike

01 ecu is 16bit like 99-00
but uses 2002-06 fuel pump
