OK, again thanks everybody. I just decided on which boots, comfort is pretty close between the two BUT one comment rang my bell.....Spudley said something about how they feel on the pegs....that alone made me choose the AlpineStars....the relationship between pegs and boots is so critical, street or track. Cold or wet weather will not be an issue therefore the Oxtar's strong points are irrelevant for this trip! Raydog
