Well, I haven't heard about the oil/sand placement in quite a while, so I'm guessing they figured out who it was and prosecuted them, or they figured out how to stop it. We can hope, right?

Here's a trick I always use. While getting to Pally is a trek, and the anticipation level is high when you get off the 76 and hit the S6 (South Grade), I ALWAYS stop and ask the guys at the bottom of the hill what the condition of the pavement is, how traffic is, and as well, the status of the local LEOs. It gives a real sense of how to proceed up the mountain for the first time (while you assess for yourself). Likewise, if I get up the S7 (East Grade), before heading down the S6, I stop at Mother's Kitchen and ask the guys there the same questions.​

Anyway, Lamb & Liz and I are going to have to leave at 2:30 or so on Sunday to get to said going-away party, so Palomar is going to have to be Saturday. If you want, we can arrange a meet-up off the board.

FYI, it'll probably be best to shoot for the Pala Casino gas station, where we usually meet up.

A group will be riding the mtn. on the morn. of the 18th. We are meeting at the Pala indian casino off state hwy 76 at 0800. Devil dog lives north of here in Temecula area and is coming south, obviously. Don't know where your staying but would love to meet you. If Devil dog ever decides to show off his new paint to the world he will ride the busa. He might be on his Husky though. Either way a sweet ride.
