Paint or Decal under clear?

Getting my 06 Black/Grey Busa preped for paint. Im doin the tank now, I cant tell if the grey on the tank is a decal under the clear or if its painted on. Its a bit raised and seems to have an outline of black beyond the grey. Thanks guys

IIRC, it's a decal cleared over.
