oil pan install

I am gonna put a new oil pan on my bike, cause all my threads are stripped. How hard is it to do and wat all do u have to take off?? Thanks alot

There was a similar thread last week about stripped oil plug threads. Suggestion was made to take your plug to local autoparts dealer and get a HeliCoil?

Yea i know but i got an oil pan cheap just seein how hard it is to put on.

I used a helicoil and have a hard time getting a good seal with the bolt. I HAVE to use a gasket and it still leaks a small amount. Its amazing what that little bit of oil does to your back tire!
Please let the rest of us know how much you ended up paying, how easy it was, how it was done, and if any special tools were needed.
