This far south my only chance of dragging a knee is if I fall down when walking

This thread still has life. Putting a knee on the ground is likely just plain fun. It's a learned technique to carry more speed into and through a corner.

But the thing I notice the most now that I'm on my fourth set of pucks is it makes you concentrate on the line. The line, the speed and the arc has to be perfect. Lane position matters most in order to drag the knee, carry the speed & still be safe. The beauty of dragging a knee is once you set the entry speed, you don't need to brake. Lean it over, and hit the gas at the 50% mark.
