Hello am new to the site but have owned my busa for 4 years.
Its a 1999 model black and grey with 25,000 miles on it. The bike is virtually standard apart from a timing retart eliminator.
Today i stripped the fuel pump and removed the crappy filter in there fitting an inline filter instead. Having had a few minor stuttering problems and occasional rough running issues, by deduction i figured it was the filter.
Mother of god what a difference!!!!!
The dam thing has never been that smooth or responsive in all the time i've had it.
2nd gear hard on the throttle and the rear is spinning up. I think i'll keep it a while ::11
In the U.K to replace that filter would cost about £45, the mod cost less than £10 to do.
Anyhoo we, my wife and i, do enjoy touring an have done Europe twice now in the last 2 years covering 8 countries in all.
And to think i nearly went to look at a zx12 today........
