I used to like it when a post greyed out when you had read all the replies then went black again if anyone posted a new reply.
I don't think there is a setting for this on the new site.

Dave do you use the "New Post" feature? If you do then you should get a screen that looks like this...

Threads that you have not seen with updates are on the top and the ones on the bottom have unread content. All of the ones you have viewed just don't show up at all.
