Finnaly decided i needed to Trade my old 95 Honda 300 Fourtrax to something alittle newer and bigger and damn i'm glad i did the handleing is so much better outta this 02 Honda Rubicon 500CC fully auto transmission like a car or you can shift it with a button shift setup.

Decided on this also since my dads not so good at shifting a standard anymore so he can take it out if he likes

Have had it about 3 days and love it is more stable since well wider then my old one and definatly all around better then my 300 Tops out at about 50 mph with my big bum on it The transmission setup is really nice with it have a Drive, Low, and reverse off the one lever, Then in the Drive optsion you have D1, wich is more grunt pull, D2 which i would consider like road traveling, and ESP which is for you to use the switch button to choose the 1to 5 gears you have, personally i leave it in the Low range or the D1.

Also handle jumping Praire Dog holes well need to give it alittle extra gas when you go up since it dose seem to be a bit nose heave and will dive right away if you don't do this had to learn that the hard way.

Now i just waiting for alittle warmer weather and if the creek goes up ill have a few photos of that and how well it handles water.

My 300 could handle alotta water i had it over the seat many times when trowling through the creeks

Nice quad. I was going to get that model but I hated the plastic front bumper. I went with the 450 Foreman with the bid round tube bumper and added protection for the axles in the front. Manual transmission was a must, due to reports of automatic failures when wet. Though I had no choice in the switch for 4 wheel drive. A Honda mechanic told me that that setup is bullet proof anyway.

The thing is a tank. It will plow over and through just about any small tree that happens to be in the way.

Enjoy, Chris

Yeah i was looking at the 450ES model but i have this home made calf catching trailer that i pull and i figured the auto with the bigger power would work alot nicer i will know in a about 2 weeks when the new cavles start dropping if it will be i know my 300 was just a bit small for the whole thing.

Yeah Mikey i know i have debated on getting a DZR400 to play with also out here i just have a fear of killing myself on it i get to nuts with 4 wheels big thing i could see happening that would suck is dropping the DZR front wheel into a badger hole or hitting a cattle trail just wrong and bam there i go down the 4 wheeler is a bit more forgivin ill post pics of the 3 wheeler i had as a kid the axle is bent and handle bars and everything most people can't belive i lived riding that thing is a was a honda Big Red 350 way to much for a 6 year old to have

Definitely a "must have" toy when you've got that kind of land around you.

Nice quad
