I'm considering an under-tail for my '05. Just curious how that painted surface holds up under the road grime, rocks, and such? Is it safe to assume regular cleanings and paintings will be necessary?

All you need to is install a rear hugger to keep the undertail chip free, it will keep road dirt and rocks from ever touching the undertail. I love that ufo undertail, i need to get one.

I have the TopGun version of that undertail and after about 1000 miles it looks like it did when I got it. A hugger will definitely help as will regularly washings.
