You've got to be kidding us ... an '04 with 1070 miles?!?! What did the guy have it in a trophy case?

If you haven't already, check the fuel tank for rust. There has been a couple of recent post by guys having tank rust issues. Unless the prior owner kept it topped off with fresh fuel or topped with stabilizer treated fuel, there is bound to be some cancer growing in there.

Wow, friendly group. I'm on the right forum for sure. Thanks for making a new owner feel very welcome. Ya no BS, it's an '04 with 1070 miles, all stock. Yesterday I had a look in the tank as far as I could with an inspection mirror and found not a hint of any rust. It's totally clean in there. The previous owner seems quite knowledgeable about bikes and from what I've seen in his garage and shop knows how to take care of his collections. You guys are great.
