Just wondering how many other members have the new WINDOWS VISTA operating system. How do you like it. Any complaints or likes, and any helpful recommendations that may relieve any fears with using a new system!!!

+1 on that! I've read so much about how MS poorly implemented DRM, which slows down the OS needlessly.

I am testing Vista (All flavors) and there are some pretty slick options in the Ultimate Version... I had some problems with printer and sound card drivers but I have work arounds for them. I've benchmarked Vista against XP Pro X64 and according to the stats XP pro is faster than Vista, HOWEVER >>> the user experience it seems that Vista in much faster because something happens as soon as you click the button.... with XP Pro you would get the hourglass or status bar but with Vista the screen fades into something else or something flashy happens to take you mind off the delay (that last line is my perspective). I ran RC1 and RC2 for a couple of months, the media tools are pretty neat... lots of features... If your not computer savvy you need to wait.....

I got this new HP laptop that has XP pro and media center and it is fast! I did the upgrade to vista for free (included with laptop) and found it to be slow and very picky with what you load on it an example is my full Office XP didnt even want to install? So I used the restore DVD's and went back to XP pro/medeia center.

Been running Vista for almost a year now. I'm in IT, so I get to beta test a bunch of stuff.

My wife's new laptop has Ultimate on it. She's taking to Vista right-off. I, OTOH, can't stand it...even for using it for so long! Heck - I still make Windows XP 'look' like Windows 2000!

There are still applications and drivers that are not Vista compatible. If you require one of these, Vista is not for you...yet.

At work, we won't goto Vista for another year or two. We're still upgrading to XP from Windows 2000.

Thats what i figured let someone else work all the bugs out. My new laptop is set up for it but I choose not to get it yet . Like one of those sayings if it aint broke dont fix it. got enough problems in my life . Wife complains now that i have to many computers as it is . one for every room and one portable . hard enough to keep them all in sinc . ANd just so everyone knows think twice before you by a Linksyrouter what a headache...Finally after 5 phone calls to tech support and 3 upgrades from linksy it is half arse working . Best thing i ever downloaded was network magic works like a charm..
Sorry im rambling ill stop now im a post jacker...
