I was going down the highway the other day and my headlight stopped working. I have no CLUE how to get access to the bulb and change it. Does anyone have a walkthrough on this and pics would definitly be majorly helpfull. Thanks for any help in advance.

Well, I don't have pics, but there are 2 ways to access the bulb. One is to take the cluster out. It's very easy to do. Simply remove the 2 dash pannels around the cluster, take out the 2 bolts on the bottom of the cluster, and pull it out. You'll have to give it a decent tug. It has 2 rubber grommets at the top that 2 little stems go in. It fits pretty tight, so go ahead and pull on it. Once the cluster is out, the dust cover will be staring you in the face. Remove the dust cover, and replace the bulb. The other way (which is a little more difficult) take out the undercowl, and reach up in there. It's harder to do it this way, because if you've never replaced an H7 bulb, the clip holding it in can be kinda tricky to figure out without looking at it.

I take the plastic shield off from underneath the front cowl. Reach in there and pull the rubber circle shaped cover off. The next part is tricky, there is a metal clip that you have to push in and to the side at the same time. It will swing open on a hinge when you get it unhooked. Pull the bulb out, unplug it, take the adapter off the bulb and stick your new bulb into it.

You know I didn't even think about it but my lights will not come on at all. If it was the bulb wouldn't I still have a high beam at least or would it just stop working all together?

High beam still works if the low is burned out and vise versa. Check fuses or bad ground wires. Maybe your button you push to start the bike is stuck, the lights go off when that button is pushed.

Like 300 said, if all the lights are off check the fuse and then check for a bad ground.

yes, pretty unlikely that both would burn out at the same time..

fuse, relay or switch..
