My helmet is jacked up...

Hey all, the rubber strip on the bottom of my helmet came off. I have tried to use three different sealants on it, nothing works..
I sent an email off to ICON, but don't know where to go from here. Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas?
Don't really want to buy a new helmet right now... especially not for something like this...

you ever try 2 part epoxy?  I used it once to repair a plastic piece in the bottom of my dishwasher under the heating element.  I lived there for 3 more years and when I moved out it was still fine.  It will definatly hold.  You can get it at Walmart and several different kinds are available depanding on the application.

what did you try? super glue? crazy glue? give me a the list...or maybe you didn't clean the area good enough...anyway the last answer usually, is a golila glue, or shoe repair bond...lets fix you up the problem...let me know what did you do to it...(I know, you don't want anymore helmet to become a sweating bucket...) that is wasting...to me? it is...

definatly good advice on the Gorilla glue but be warned the crap expands like big time. Use only a very little bit or you'll have the mess of the century to clean up.

Whatever glue you try Shawn,try scuffing up the seal surface and the helmet surface with some 80 grit.It might give the glue a better chance at adhesion.

I think I got the same helmet. Just scrape off that purple pos sealant and put some Krazy glue on a few different places. Worked for me.

Bottom trim came off my really old HJC, only thing I found that worked was a hot glue gun. 15 years later it's still on there tight. Auto trim adhesive, crazy glue and expoxy never held for more than a week or two.

What Icon helmet do you have? I almost bid on a Mainframe Halo yesterday but after reading many reviews of trim pieces falling off and the top vents whistling instead of cooling I decided to pass on it.

I used automotive Goop on mine. Holdin tight after 5 or 6 months...
