I'm still nursing the old GS1100E, but all it will take is a good salesman to sense the weakness and press the issue a little bit, and I'll be right behind you.
I went to the dealer today to check it out. I like the red ( wine) color much better than anticipated. It is assembled and serviced and I will be picking it up Monday!!! What a relief. The 4 month wait sure was worth it. Now I am waiting for Bike Week which will probably be my first real chance to ride. Hope to see some of you guys there! I guess now you can say I am a certified Falcon Fool. Oh yea, I am retireing the old FZR 1000. I love it, but I think a better friend has arrived.
Congratulations FF. I said the same thing about the color: it's much better than the brochures and it goes perfect with the bike.
Enjoy it. Nice way to start Y2K.
I'm REALLY enjoying the red/burgandy/wine/blood red Busa. It appears as each depending on the light. Looks fantastic in the sunlight - especially later in the afternoon. Tomorrow will be my 7th straight day of riding (6th day on the 2000) Life is grand! Happy year 2000!
(No I haven't been drinking)
Thanks, Man...that's the plan. I want to leave the new Busa basically stock and build the GS as a project machine. I bought it new in 1983, so I know everything it's been through. It is a quick, bulletproof machine, easy to work on too.
Mr. Bear... I couldn't agree more... about keeping the GS1100E.. I've kept my red one since '83 (20,000 miles) It's still perfect so I plan to try and keep it stock. It's a great compliment to the 'Busa... and since they're both made by Suzuki; they get along well in the garage! Now those two Honda CBX's in the garage are a different matter. Happy New Year!

Mr.Bear...don't ever let the old GS1100E out of your sight. Man, I owned one few years back, a red one, and I get sick every time I see one or hear about one. The GS is a classic in my book! So don't do like I did..get bored with it for a few days and sell. When you get ready for a new bike just push the GS to the back side of the garage. You won't regret it!
