mud flap removed

got tired of looking at the mud flap so here i am looking through a scrap pile to find a piece of aluminum to “bend to fit.” i used the 2 center holes from the mud flap as a template. use some rubber grommets and some longer bolts for hardware. the taillight makes the slightly visible but not readable. if you live somewhere that enforces the white light on your plate you can remove the mudflap light and mount it on the plate with the stock hardware to keep the popo off your back and not spend anything on a light. also, sometimes your helpers dont speed up wrench time.

The DIYs are always the best. I used a couple bolt lights with my Gen2 license plate. The two crossing lights make the plate hard to read but I don't ride much at night anyway.

This looks really nice.. I bet the light is enough for most cops.
I saw on the Tube that someone was working on 650ibs bike... a youtuber.. and he just took the standoff bracket and bent that to angle the plate enough to be seen. He has no plate light but... it was free and easy as can be!
I like the completed, legal route so I will probably order the Yosh kit when it's in stock.
