With the combo of the stock cans and mud flap you cant even tell there is a bike behind all that mess. Mine was gone the first week !!!

I think that's the point really.

My busa is strictly a fair weather vehicle, and I live in Texas, so that huge rear fender is both ugly and pointless.

If yours is going to be used for more than a toy and you live in an area where you'll be riding in a lot of rain, it's probably best to keep it.

I kept mine as a courtesy to anyone behind me, I got blasted at Eureka by the fenderless, (name with held) chipped paint and a broken turn signal lense. Ouch!!

At least the new got wore off... felt bad for a few minutes.. bought it to ride......

At first I wanted to remove it, but have changed my mind. I would want to put on a hugger if I did though.

one other thought, removing the rear reflector violates the law in all fifty states and there is always a LEO somewhere who wants to write you for it.
The way Florida is heading with their tag law others may follow.
Don't throw away old parts!!!

I was going to remove mine until I got pulled over with two other bikes that didn't have rear fenders. I was the only one that didn't get a ticket for removing it. Damn WA commie laws. They have an RCW for everything that's not boring.

I am looking for a good hugger for mine to match the charcoal grey, I actually think the plate could be mounted to the hugger itself somehow, might be an idea.

If it's against the law, I'll keep it. LEO's are already motivated against bikes enough. Don't want/need to give them a specific excuse.

Besides, it is good for protecting the bike, protecting trailing vehicles and providing a license plate mount.

mud flap was the next thing to go after the warning stickers and reflectors.. then i used the rear reflector brackets to make my rear plate holder.... still had my temp tag..lol

The mud flappppppppppps are fugly. They gotta be the first thing to go along with rereflectors.

I guess I'm a minority around here. I left mine on. Although I did trim it to the bottom of the plate. I just don't like the looks of the tag just hanging there like an afterthought. I'll try to post some pics of what the trimmed flap looks like later today.
