What are your opinions on the 08 busa Mud Flap.
Should it stay or should it go?

Mine was gone as soon as I got the actual license plate.

I had to remove mine so it would stop impeding the movement of the PitBull rear stand. I got the Competition Werkes plate w/LED light. Works nice.

I dont know where you live and the conditions the roads are in, so, I would say leave it.

But if you do replace it, I would make it so that the plate is lit, and angles back to protect that expensive red lens from rock damage. Ask me how I know:whistle:

I vote for leaving it alone. I don't think the '08 tail section looks better without it. If the tail section was more aggressive looking and more angular, I'd say remove it.

It doesn't weigh much, doesn't cause any drag, and keeps a lot of crap off the rear end when riding through wet weather, and gives you a place to hang your license plate.

I experienced the same problem as SCAR did with my Pit Bull rear stand. I resolved the issue by rolling the bike's rear wheel onto two staggered pieces of 2X4 first, and then lifting with the rear stand. This extra boost in rear height prevents the interference from the tail piece to the stand's handle.

You won't need a second set of hands, but some finesse is necessary. I started by keeping another 2X4 scrap under the kickstand, as well as under the rear wheel to allow the bike to support itself while I positioned the stand. After a couple of uses, I have it down to a science, and don't need the kickstand support. Another option would be the Pit Bull forward levered lift, but personally, I like the rear lever style.

When busa appeared at 1999 was one of the ugliest motorcycles. At 2007 one of the prettiest lending her shape to all manufacturers with a record of sales since she first appeared with no changes at all exept colours.So...leave her as it is to guide the future shapes. Its really sad to make her look like all other common bikes.Shes not ugly..shes different by reason

IMHO I think it looks better without it, I removed mine even before installing the 240 kit.

I kinda think it looks good with it on and am not sure what it would look like with it off.
Does anyone have any pics with the mudflap off?
