OEM Suzuki chains are junk ~ mine didn't last 5000 miles . . .

Just get a new chain . . .

My bike 2009 doesn't even have 5k miles on it. My powder coat my swing are is why i asked but thanks.

That's why you should get rid of that junk OEM chain ~ unless you want it to fail & jack up more Hayabusa parts . . .

14000 miles stock chain. Should mention that I am OCD about chain maintenance and as soon as I find a tight spot it will be replaced.

17000 miles on stock chain, changed due to knocking I fault was coming from chain , turns out there was nothing wrong with it and had loads of life left. Maintenance is the key

I would get oem link to go with oem chain,you don't want a potential weak spot.I adjust chain to 30 -35 mm of slack while on side stand to compensate for rider weight. The manual says 20-30mm

I don't imagine your doing a burnout or a wheelie from every stop aids in chain longevity Red(remember,I know ya).

14k, clean and lube every 500 miles .
