Went to Destination  Daytona and looked at the Ducs and Triumphs Buels etc etc. They are selling everything but a zuki there! Or any rice burner they said! Sales-smoothy tried to put the wool over my eyes with a speed triple. MPG on the trip meter he said! Oh i got two of those i said! And low fuel warning he says OH i got that on my fuel gage i says! triumph can put a set of hard bags on it for a total of 12k out the door! Great i can get a set from Corbin down the street installed for a grand, and still have a nice cruise to
rock.gif
for less than that + i got the fastest and best on earth! Needless to say when we got outside he said YEP WE ALL Better catch up to those Japs or else! He spent the next few seconds tellin me i had a good lookin bike. Got a few thumbs up from truckers while in a traffic cluster on the way back on 95! I hope it was for the looks of my bike!! Homey don't play that crap! And PS there isn't a body in the wet suit in the background... Surfs UP

Mid pipes had to go! Boss said i was goin to far with the sqidley brat stuff

and the folk around here have turned into old folk with no sense of humor! So i threw em on ebay. No BS yawl if you like the wheels they are so easy to do and cost about $14.00 in stuff, any color you can think of. 1 can of dupli-color, 1 can of Kleen strip, 1 can mineral spirits, a roll of painters blue tape, and a cheese wedge to scrape with and as long as you can get the tire off the floor you don't even need to take the wheels off! I did both in about 4 hrs. Tape to the rough edge of the wheel, spread the strip on about 8" of the black paint at a time until all paint and primer is off the wheel. I mean all cause the new paint won't stick right to the primer they use. After you have em stripped wipe clean with mineral spirits and tape the tire edge (little strips of tape at a time works the best) Then back the wife's Murano out so as not to over spray it!

and paint the aluminum. Don't worry about taping the black center of wheel cause this paint is like translucent and won't show on black anyway. About three spins of the wheel is thick enough from each side. I was going to just do the edge with the strip to polished aluminum but saw so many bikes with this it just wasn't for me, like the chrome i had. So went looking in wally world again and found this paint which matched my cheezy ART cans! Also when i got the paint off and started to polish the aluminum all it did was turn black and tarnished looking. A kid i spoke with at the local hang out said his needed polished every week and i ain't doin that

This paint is very durable too. Even chain lube and cleaning with WD40 hasn't done a thing to it. I thought zuki used powder coat on the wheels until i installed the rear shinko and found out otherwiz.

Polishing isn't that bad. If you have a good polish job it won't tarnish as easily. The black while polishing is normal, that's the polish working the dirt outta the metal.

I'm going to give this a shot sometime 8D8...BTW that shot of your neighborhood looks almost identical to mine. Perfect riding weather here in FL right now.

I just got back from a quick 30 minute ride. It is only 37 degrees out right now. I just had to feel what it felt like again.

Yeah, I guess the Florida weather is pretty hard to deal with this time of year.
