Location of the ECU?

Hi, new here and have a question. Where is the location of the Busa's ECU? If it is in the instrument cluster and that is swapped out for a '00's cluster would that eliminate the restriction on an '03 or not? or is that simply a urban myth and all I would get out of it is the 220mph speedo.

Thanks for your time. Hope this was not a moronic question but checking other websites I can't seem to get a straight answer about it.

oh yeah if you want to bypass the restriction then get a TRE

Thanks for setting the record straight for me. Too bad you just can't swap out ECU's and be done with it. Might still do the cluster swap just to have the 220 speedo
