Maybe people don’t want standard poop heapswhat a nonsense idea
- sorry -
but all tires weight nearly the same
the difference with exact the same dimensions should be a maximum of 1 kg.
but what really makes a difference is the material of the rim.
if THEY are made of carbon (for a s1000r bmw), you can hardly believe how noticeable the difference is.
however, including all additional costs for chain wheel carrier, etc., it costs an estimated €4,000-5,000
for the guy with the cash cow (we here call that animal the "gold shitting donkey"), it's not an issue but it's completely crazy ´n wasting money, if ur name is not marc marquez, pecko bagnaia or so and ur job is the same like theirs.
I think you should read a little more the rim weight its real its been discused already and we sure know carbons are great for lightening in the rotational mass dep. but tire weight does matter its not like a nonsense idea for example you should compare any same size rear tire with the Dunlop Dragmax and maybe then you will understand the real difference in tire weight thats what this thread is really about.what a nonsense idea

1kg of rotating weight will make a measurable difference. engine builders are looking to shave grams off moving engine parts and that makes a noticeable difference in an engines output. a lighter tire for around town riding probably wouldn’t noticed much but when side by side racing you will.
