Does anyone have experience with the amount of protection offered by kevlar jeans? I always ride with all teh required riding gear (helmet, ballistic nylon jacket or leather jacket with armor, leather boots over the ankle, leather gloves. Before I buy some kevlar jeans just wanted to know if they are worth it. Thanks!!!

I have a pair of SHIFT Racing Lodown jeans but thankfully, I have not tested them yet :)

They will keep you from getting burned, but not from knee or hip injuries. I'm using Diamond Gusset Defenders, the best I have ever worn, but they do not have the protection either for joint injuries. I'm calling New Enough on Monday to see what they recommend for pants with CE armour.

I just ordered some Kevlar pants w/armor from Motoport. Pretty spendy, but supposed to be among the best in protection, and coolest for summer.

Anybody ever try them?
