Hi folks ,im new to this forum & would appreciate help if anyone can . Ive just stripped my k8 motor & fitted new pistons after commpresion loss & ring break up . Reassembly was simple enough but i cant figure out how to refit cam chain tensioner , their is no tensioner bolt & spring to fit after tensioner is fitted . Ive taken it apart to figure out how it works but cannot see how to hold plunger back while fitting . Probably simple but not to me at present . Any help appreciated . Many thanks .???

MANY THANKS FOR YOUR VERY RAPID RESPONSE , I THINK MY PROBLEMS ARE NOW SOLVED [ WILL KNOW WHEN I GET BACK OUT IN THE GARAGE ]

Make sure you turn the engine over by hand to ensure proper cam timing

+1, It may appear timed correctly after initial install, but be a tooth off after one or two complete rotations.
We hope you get it fixed.

Many thanks for all your help & concerns . Its back together now & running like a sewing machine
