drop in vs 1397? is the extra money worth the extra cc's? i know there is no replacement for displacement. what kind of power should i expect to see with the drop ins?

With cams and higher compression drop ins you should get close to 200 with a Gen I. What year is your bike and exactly what drop ins are you going with ? I got the JE part.

Jay is right i looked at the same thing with my bike. Couple extra $$ you can have the 1397 with the same compression as the drop ins. Ive been told your looking 180-190hp with drop ins, 1397 around 195-215. Thats with the set up my busa has.
Then again your allready splitting the block to do the 1397 drop in the 08 crank and get the 1441 for a monster motor. and look about 215-235 on motor.
Droppins you can do yourself with some technical skill and a service manual. 1397's and 1441 your better off leaving it to the pros.... FIND GIXXERHP hehhe
