I feel it's all perspective. I spend more on lunch for a week than I do on gas for a month for 2 vehicles. Yes, gas used to be $.35 when I was a kid, but good houses were around $20k also. Cost more to fill up, but I still pay it. When it hits $5 I am buying the most efficient scooter available. Right now I drive a civic [always into fuel efficient cars] and a Miata + the Busa and get 25 MPG minimum on all of them. I can live with that.
If you dirve a $40,000 Suv that already took $30 to fill up every week or two, will $40 instead make THAT big a difference? You bought a 40k gas guzzler - what do you expect?
make sure your tire pressure is at your cars rated amount, then up it 1 - 3 PSI. this can improve your milage. Also replace your plugs and air filter at proper intervals.
anyone know anything about using 5w instead of 10w oil to get better milage / more efficiency?
yeah what wwjd said .. if you drive a V8 daily for no reason, (I say no reason if you don't use your ride for commercial uses or whatever) .. ya can't really complain about the price too loud.
