Instrument Cluster Camera

An interesting thought about a possible way to help retrieve stolen bikes. Has anyone ever tried to mount a camera in the instrument cluster facing the driver? I was curious to do this what type of camera should I look for, at Best Buy we have a bunch of home security type cameras that can connect to your smart phone and can basically be monitored from anywhere. Has anyone done this before? If so what are your recommendations for this, just thinking this since motorcycle theft is a HUGE problem here in Hawaii.

Let's face it, all any of us can really do is take a few precautions and make sure our insurance current. If a piece of sh** wants your bike they are going to get it. It makes me sick but that is the world we are living in.
