I'm installing a new (partial) set of factory decals and it looks like there is a
clear cover sheet over the decal. They are positioned on the bike and I had a
small piece left over, which I pulled off a clear layer but...I hate to bugger up
the decals.

So...clear cover that comes off or leave em? Anyone with experience?

Any other decal install tips appreciated, hate to have 'em fly off as I'm going
downt he road.

These are '06 btw...

The clear is a protective layer so you can work the bubbles out and position the decal without harming it. Use Warm water with 5-10% soap and 10% rubbing alcohol i found works the best. Soak the surface, apply then work the air bubbles out. After the bubble are out remove the clear film

Get a plastic bondo applicator-works great to push the bubbles out like dolilind said, start in the center and workout to the edges. We want pics too:rulez::thumbsup:
