There are about twenty post relating to the bogdown. They all lead to the same place. Some people have hit on it but
it is still happening.
This brings up an intersecting subject. Yes I said Intersecting.
As long as I have been on this board, and yes it has been longer than the date under my name, I have never seen anyone use the Chatrooms. Instead they use the board as one. There are down sides to the chatroom, it will rob more bandwidth and the conversations are not memorialized like they are here.
It is entirely possible that the postwhoring is contributing to the bogdown. The Board software isn't in need of a revision due to the amount of people using it now, but I have noticed many boards upgrading. Problem is, it takes time and money.
There should be a real meeting to discuss what to do for a solution. Captain has enough tasks without people making this site a headache. The Post Whoring should stop.(period)
As it was just mentioned, there is no Use in having 5000 posts if all that is contributed is a bunch of SHid. Someone will always have more though.

Otherwise, I get alot out of the posts here. Serious things that are important to me as are important to others.
Post Whoring is like shooting someone after they are dead. It's like running over roadkill on purpose. It's like more throttle after the revlimiter has kicked in. It's like trying to make a point after the game is over.
Contribution, unfortunately cannot be accurately measured by a number of posts, but it can be measured by the respect and support that other members give towards the Author.
Posting should never be done without intention,
whether it was to make someone laugh, cheer up, an atta boy! or girl, or to defend, protect, to share'
or the best reason...HELP someone.
I do this out of Respect for the people who Admin, Moderate or just plain post what is real.
I hope others follow suit, and help instead of hinder.

I think the avatars helped quite a bit. There's still some backend something needed because sometimes the front list of threads just paints a line at a time, it's mostly just text with tiny enevelope icons next to it, so it should just pop in to existance. But I'm no Ikonboard specialist, and I feel the captian is doing a great job hunting down the slowness. Thanks cap!
