Illumiglo Gauge Wiring

I just got a set of Rocket Doc Gauge faces and his instructions say to wire both the red and black hot. anybody put a set of these on? is this right?

Smart boy...this is what mine look like after he made my led's blue...I love it!

If I was to do it again Ithink I would go with Speed hut and send them the cluster.

I bought the Illumiglo guages for my bike, and I hate the things! The Tach needle gets lost in the Hayabusa logo at night. Can't take em off either because they have an adhesive backing that covers the entire guage and removing them will bend the guage faceplates which are very thin aluminum. I am a leisure rider at best and not a "be all end all" like a lot of guys on this board... but I would highly reccomend against thge installation of this product.
