I agree with DO3, my two riding buddies are both on 1K's, one is a ZX-10, the other a CBR, I ride a lot of twisties with them and on occasion have definetly found myself wishing for a little less weight for the improved flickability they have, but neither of them can shake me, ever.  I am in love with my Evelyn!

Busa's run pretty good stock, but try racing a newer Gixx thou with a capable rider - they're just plain faster than a busa.

Every single new liter bike turns a faster ET stock than a busa and we're all limited to 186 top speed.

the 1K's are putting out about 25-30lb ft less torque than a Busa. that torque advantage does pay off. It is all about the rider.

Yeah we have more torque but they are much lighter. Like you said - ultimately comes down to the rider.
