HOW MUCH HAVE YOU SPENT ON YOUR BUSA?

It might be interesting for some of us to learn how much other Busa owners have spent so far to acquire, customize and improve their bikes.

It will also give us an idea how much you have to sacrifice for Busa ownership in some heavily-taxed and tarifed countries like Norway or low per-capita income countries like Namibia. So that we can compare, please express your expenditures in U.S. dollars (EVERYONE knows that particular conversion rate for their local currency, right?). Include local retail taxes, tarifs paid for parts imported by yourself, and shipping costs where applicable. In cases where you have bought 2 of something because you've upgraded twice already, include the total cost under one heading. Just rough figures, off the top of your head. Also, say where you're located in case your Member's Profile doesn't cover that. Feel free to include your own labor at a rate of .000000032¢ per hour. HA HA HA!

SUGGESTION: Use this thread as a running total of what you've put into your Beast. When you drop some bucks on an improvement, come back to your post and add it in. Then you've got a reference point for yourself, and we've all got a real-time understanding of the costs of doing business in various places.

heheh Dont let my Mother/girfriend/ IRS see this :)

Yngve, that UVEX helmet what certifications does it have to meet in europe?

I am clueless so maybe you could explain the high standards you have in Norway.

In the US we have SNELL and DOT, how do the Euro standards compare?

I thought they only made helmets for ski racing, have they been in the motorcycle market long?

The full name of my helmet is : Uvex SR900-1 Carbon Edition.
On the back of my helmet it says : CFP construct
985g size L ( 59-60cm )
On the incide it says it meets or exeeds all CE ( European standards ) Snell and DOT standards.
Uvex has made bike helmets for as long as I remember ( like 1 week heheh ) , at least 20 years.
My helmet is the first true Carbon I have ever seen ( this is my second Uvex carbon of mine ) but now Uvex has made another version of it but it issnt a true carbon anymore. Now it got plastic and other **** stuff on it ( but it is a bit cheaper ).

Bike-around 11 grand
Extra helmet 300
Aerostich suit-around 700
Boots,gloves-around 500
Tires-300
Class shcool 300
Tank bag 75
Super weight saving carbon fiber license plate frame-19!
Genmar bar risers 175
Fairing sliders 50
Touch up paint(kickstand!) 20

Notice no engine or chassis mods. Thats why I bought the Busa-to not fork out bucks to get it fast. It's already fast! And it handles decent for the weight(that carbon fiber plate frame did the trick!).
Best money spent was for the Class school. I learned a lot and had a major blast.

You guys get all that other expensive stuff. I'd rather go to Brazil! No kidding either-my wife is Brazilian!
